Director of Treaty Operations
Simon is responsible for the development, negotiation and placement of a comprehensive and varied range of reinsurance solutions for MIB's Clients.
He specialises in treaty reinsurance programs and all other types of portfolio protection. Simon was one of the founding members of MIB and oversaw our accreditation at Lloyd's in 2004.
Simon has nearly 30 years of experience in the international reinsurance market. During his career he has worked with major London Reinurance brokers where he handled the treaty reinsurance business of clients in the Middle East and Africa.

Chris joined the London Market in 1973 and since then has placed most types of Proportional and Non Proportional reinsurance treaties.
In the last decade, the classes of business on which he has focussed have been Delegated Underwriting Authorities, Facultative and Treaty Energy business and Non Marine Property business.
Chris's primary role within MIB is the introduction of new business and to offer innovative solutions to Clients requirements.

Wasim Taj, Business Development Director

Wasim has 12 years of diverse and varied experience in both direct insurance and reinsurance. He started his career and trained with ACE International Insurance Company.
Wasim specialises in structuring reinsurance treaty programs as well as managing facultative risks. Wasim has extensive knowledge of Middle East & Indian Sub Continent Insurance Markets.
Wasim's main role is to develop new business from the international market and strengthen existing relationships in place. Wasim is fluent in Urdu, Punjabi and Arabic.

Tommaso has 10 years experience in and extensive knowledge of the Insurance and Reinsurance Market. Tommaso started his career with the JLT Group, initially based in Italy working on D&F accounts, he then moved to the London Market where he worked on the structuring and placing of most types of proportional and non proportional Non Marine reinsurance treaties for London and Middle East Clients.
Tommaso's focus is on providing innovative solutions and delivering first class service to our Clients.

David Blain
Business Development Director
David has extensive experience of the treaty reinsurance market within the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East and Africa) and has worked with some of the largest companies in the region. He has a large network of contacts in Lloyds, London Market and the International market specialising in structuring reinsurance / retrocession programs.
David's main focus is to increase new business from the international market and develop existing relationships.

Andy Long, Business development director
Andy Long
Business Development Director
Andy has worked predominantly in the London market for the past 20 years holding senior positions at Marsh, JLT and more recently Lloyd and Partners where he was Head of Department for international casualty. His background is the production and placement of non-marine liability business and related classes both on a direct and facultative reinsurance basis, and in addition he has worked on a variety of specialty lines. He also has great experience of delegated underwriting authorities, and a deep knowledge of the North American, Australian and Northern European markets.
Andy’s role is to introduce new business opportunities and design innovative insurance and reinsurance solutions for new and existing Clients.
